Google Adsense, What Is It?
Adsense is one of Google's advertising systems. There are two, Adsense and Adwords. Adwords is used when you want to advertise your site or product. It is done on a pay per click basis and you only pay for the ad if someone clicks on it.
When you are the one publishing the advertisement on your web site you call it Adsense. Basically the Adwords advertisements become Adsense Advertisements when they are displayed on a web site. Google keep the two separate and distinct in order to manage them better.
As it turns out they manage Adsense very well. Nearly everyone on the internet has heard of and wants to make money online from Google Adsense.
What To Do
If you want to show some Google ads on your web site and make a few dollars, you first go to Google’s Adsense sign up page and become a member. The process is free,but you need to organise some form of payment. They can pay you by check or into your bank account. You must also comply with local tax laws and Google will have to approve your website before they will send the ads to it. Once your web site is approved you can put the ad code on any one of your sites.
There are, of course many rules that Google expect you to follow if you want to show their ads. For instance an obvious one is no porn or illegal sites.
